Newhaven Pavilion's

This project serves as a precursor to my final Master's first-year project, 'A Connected Community.' It explores a series of temporary timber pavilions, thoughtfully positioned at key transitional points throughout Newhaven town centre. These lightweight structures aim to highlight the town’s rich history while acting as catalysts for social interaction, sparking conversations and exchanges that might not occur in everyday moments. By celebrating often overlooked transitional spaces, the pavilions reimagine them as meaningful thresholds that invite engagement and activity. Although designed as temporary interventions for flexibility and minimal environmental impact, the project also underscores the pressing need for permanent, community-focused spaces within the town.
